About Chartiers-Houston School District
The Chartiers-Houston School District, named for Peter Chartier (1690—1759) who established a trading post in the area in 1743, includes Chartiers Township and Houston Borough and is located just north of Washington, PA.
The district is approximately 20 miles south of Pittsburgh and encompasses approximately 25 square miles.
The district, established in 1955, operates Chartiers-Houston Jr/Sr High School (7-12) and Allison Park Elementary School (K-6).
