Shelley Brose has been a resident of Chartiers Township for the last fifteen years. She is married to James Brose and has two daughters in the Chartiers-Houston School District. Mrs. Brose graduated from Duquesne University with the following degrees; a B.S. in Elementary and Special Education, a Masters in both Instructional Technology and School Administration, and she also holds a current Principal’s Certification. Shelley was an elementary education teacher
for eight years before being promoted to the position of Principal. She is currently the Elementary School Principal at Hills-Hendersonville Elementary in the Canon-McMillan School District. She is excited and looking forward to serving her first term on the School Board.

Mike Kolovich, Vice President
Mike Kolovich is a graduate of Chartiers-Houston School district, having graduated in
1996. He and his wife, Bronwyn, live in Chartiers Township with their two daughters
Ava (Kindergarten) and Brynn (1-year-old). They love being involved in their community, having worked with the townships Park and Recreation for the last 8 years. Working in the environmental field for the past 16 years, Mike has worked as an environmental project supervisor, environmental coordinator and is currently the Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance Specialist for Buckeye Partners, L.P. in Moon Township, PA. When he is not attending his daughter's sporting events or coaching Chartiers-Houston Girls softball, Mike loves to travel with his family. In the past, he has helped coach various basketball teams in Chartiers-Houston and Canon McMillian school districts. He looks forward to serving on his alma mater's school board.

Laurie Popeck has been a resident of the community for over 20 years. She resides in the District with her family and is honored to be a part of the Chartiers-Houston School Board.
Jay Johnson
Jay Johnson and his wife Chris have been a residents of Chartiers since 1985. He was elected in 2019 and felt called to be a part of the school district because he cares about the students and faculty. His two children, Seth (2003) and Brooke (2006), graduated from Chartiers-Houston, and one of his granddaughters, Kayloni, currently attends Allison Park Elementary in 4th grade. He has served as a volunteer basketball and softball coach, as well has driven the equipment truck for the band since 1998, and has been youth group leader at his church. He owned his own business for 29 years and currently works for Canon-McMillan School District. Jay is a graduate of Upper St. Clair High School and Adrian College.
Melanie Rush
Melanie is a lifetime resident of Chartiers Township and graduated from Chartiers-Houston High School. She currently resides in the district with her husband, two children, and two dogs. Melanie is a member of the Chartiers Township Parks & Recreation Committee and is a representative on the Boys Varsity Soccer Booster Board. She is a Registered Nurse and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Duquesne University and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration degree from Waynesburg University. She is excited to serve the community during her first term on the C-H School Board.
