Free and Reduced Price Lunch Program

The District provides a free and reduced-price lunch program. Guidelines and information on these programs are available at the building principal's office and on the school web site in pdf format. Please note that applications must be completed annually for the program. 

Applications may be submitted any time during the school year. Information requested on the application will be used only to determine eligibility. For more information on the Free and Reduced Lunch Program, please contact the Business Office at 724-746-1400 x 108. 

District Lunch Program Policy

Under the provisions of the policy, a district employee will review applications and determine eligibility. If a parent is dissatisfied with the ruling, he or she may request a hearing by contacting the Business Manager.

The policy also provides that there will be no identification or discrimination against any child because of race, religion, sex, color, national origin or inability to pay the full price for a meal or milk. Visit the food service policy section of this site to view the current policy.  

Free Meals for Children in the Summer

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) offers free, nutritious meals to children 18 years and younger during the summer when school is not in session. SFSP is a federal child nutrition program. There are approximately 2500 locations throughout Pennsylvania that serve breakfast, lunch and /or snacks. Many of the locations provide activities as well.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/USDA-OASCR%20P-Complaint-Form-0508-0002-508-11-28-17Fax2Mail.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
